7:08 PM: Wineke honors Matuszak
DPW Chair Joe Wineke welcomed attendee's to the event, telling them "it's a great night to be a Democrat in Wisconsin."
Wineke remarked on the passing of Democratic activist Marlys Matuszak, whose memorial service was today.
"A week ago we lost an incredible activist, amazing person and dear friend," Wineke said, "who gave her life and soul to our Democratic party."
Wineke said Matuszak would not want a moment of silence, but instead said the way to honor her would be to "kick a little but this November."
