5:43 PM: Obama plans rally at Kohl Center
Dem presidential hopeful Barack Obama is holding a rally Tuesday at the Kohl Center in Madison, according to a campaign release. Details on the start time of the rally aren't confirmed, but the campaign release says the doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the event is free and open to the public.
Gov. Jim Doyle, who endorsed Obama, is quoted in the release.
"Barack Obama is going to make his case to the people of Wisconsin that it's time we had a president who will stand up for hardworking families and build a strong, thriving middle class," Doyle said in the release. "He has tremendous momentum coming into the Wisconsin primary, and Tuesday's rally will be a great opportunity to showcase his strong, grassroots support from throughout the state. This will not only be a chance to hear Barack Obama's vision for our country - but to get actively involved in this movement for change."
