5:23 PM: No pre-primary visit planned for McCain
Sen. John McCain will not be coming to Wisconsin before the Feb. 19 primary according to his state finance chair, Jon Hammes.
Hammes told WisPolitics that with Mitt Romney bowing out of the contest there are other areas McCain will be concentrating on before the primary and was not able to fit a Wisconsin visit in the scheduling.
Hammes said a McCain visit to Wisconsin is being planned sometime after the primary.
McCain's press office also said no visit was planned yet, but that the situation is "fluid" and that could change.
