8:40 PM: Doyle: 'I've been waiting a long time for this'

Gov. Jim Doyle had an easy time firing up the crowd before introducing Obama. He got to announce the latest projection that had the Illinois senator winning Maryland.
After the crowed erupted, Doyle noted the win made it eight straight for Obama and exhorted the crowd to turn out Feb. 19 to make it nine in a row.
Doyle didn't need much help getting the crowd going. He initially fumbled with the microphone and got a cheer just for asking the crowd if it was on.
"I've been waiting a long time for this moment, a long time for us to have someone step forward as a leader in this country who isn't trying to divide us by race and age and geographical location and party but a leader who is bringing us together," Doyle said.

Doyle greeted Obama at the podium with a handshake and a hug.
