Democrat Todd Kolosso of Menomonee Falls will announce Monday his plans to challenge GOP U.S. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner in the state's 5th CD.
Leah Horn, campaign manager for Kolosso, said he is a small business owner. She said the campaign will focus on issues affecting small business, health care reform and farm policy.
Kolosso has not run for political office before.
"Over the past eight years or so watching the Bush Administration (Kolosso) has gone from being a Ronald Reagan fan to being more connected to the Democratic Party," Horn said.
The announcement is set for 10 a.m. at the Mill Building in Menomonee Falls.
Sensenbrenner, also of Menomonee Falls, affirmed his intention to run for a 17th term in August, despite disclosing his diagnosis with early-stage prostate cancer.
