Low income energy programs to stay in DOA
A recommendation by Gov. Doyle to move the low-income home energy assistance program and the low-income weatherization program from the DOA to the Public Service Commission was knocked down by the JFC.
The committee adopted alternatives 2 and 3 on budget paper 110. It passed 14-2, with GOP Sens. Darling and Olsen voting against the motion.
