The fee charged to nonprofit organizations for a name search criminal history database checks will go from $2 to $7.

The fee increase was proposed by Doyle (budget paper 513), but Dems added a motion to sunset the fee increase on July 1, 2011.

Republicans voted against the motion, favoring instead a motioned by Rep. Vos to limit the increase to $3. That motion failed on a party-line 4-12 vote.
