The JFC also voted to increase boat registration fees for in-state residents and create a non-resident boat sticker at a cost of $15.

In-state boat fees for boats under 16 feet would go from $19 to $22, for boats between 16 feet and 26 feet from $28 to $32, for boats 26 feet to 40 feet from $52 to $60, and for boats over $40 feet from $86 to $100.

Gov. Doyle had recommended larger fee increases for in-state boaters, and the JFC's action would reduce reveneus by $250,000 compared to Doyle's proposal. (alternative 3, budget paper 566)
